Project Description:

The project will build an IT Lab of excellence to be hosted in Al-Midra Tower in Dhahran. Currently, IT operates multiple labs that are necessary to test and assure quality of essential IT solutions before deployment Companywide; including wireless communication, data networking, cybersecurity, data recovery, vulnerability mitigation, computing solutions, desktop support and applications user experience enhancement. However, these labs are currently scattered in non-suitable office environments, lack sufficient space, and lack the proper integration and infrastructure to accommodate the increasing range of technical solutions. Additionally, IT lacks the proper facilities required for testing and prototyping new innovative technologies supporting digital transformation initiatives. The project aims to consolidate four existing labs used exclusively by separate IT organizations.

The project, with an approximate construction area of 2000 m2, is designed based on ultra-modern architecture in terms of interior spaces and materials giving the impression of high-tech. The new center is designed to include a new technology research lab, IT infrastructure and operational workspaces. Additionally, the center provides an innovation incubation area including innovation incubators, flexible workshop modules, user experience testing, prototyping display area and other innovation support components.

Demolition Work:

Demolish all existing furniture, offices and partial toilet area to prepare the area for hosting the new lab.
Demolish existing floor tiling.
Demolish existing ducts, diffusers, dampers, toilet fixtures & piping, existing wet sprinkler system etc.
Remove existing lighting fixtures, wiring devices, disconnect switches, floor boxes etc. & salvage.

New Works Include:

Supply & installation of floor finishes, ceiling finishes, wall finishes & complete furnitures as per furniture layout.
Mechanical ( HVAC, Fire protection, Plumbing)
Electrical (fire detection and alarm system, lighting, wiring devices)
Instrumentation (building management system)
Telecom (cable routing, data voice system, wireless LAN, AV system, data network)

IT Works Include:

The functional requirements of the IT Lab of Excellence project are to provide IT operational labs including the following:
- IT infrastructure with High computing and networking capabilities.
- Digital lab serving wireless communication and networking, computing and cybersecurity.
- Technology research lab to conduct research in the areas of RFID, mobile applications, AR/VR, IoT, blockchain, AI and data science.

Creative Content:

Produce, post-produce and deliver a creative, high quality content program in high definition resolution based on the overall display pixels count.
The program will cover several relevant content types that have to match the display media as per experiential touchpoints.
